In every scenario visualizing the future of the energy industry, hydrogen plays a prominent role. As a link between various areas of the energy supply, hydrogen contributes to sustainable conversion, storage and use of energy. Hydrogen technology supports the development of renewable energy systems and prevention of CO2 emissions. On April 10 and 11, 2019, a specialist workshop focusing on the effect of hydrogen on materials was held at the Fraunhofer IWM, with lively participation from representatives of research and industry.
