Workshop: Machine Learning with Computational Materials Science Data

We are excited to invite you to the upcoming workshop “Machine Learning with Computational Materials Science Data for Modeling Nanocrystal Catalysts” at Fraunhofer IWM in Freiburg, Germany, under the COST Innovators Grant IG18234. 

This workshop aims to bring together leading experts from academia and industry to discuss the future of machine learning methods and the infrastructure needed for predicting catalytic properties, particularly in relation to industrial applications  and hydrogen production.

In this workshop, leading European experts from academia and industry will present and discuss the latest trends, opportunities and limitations of the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence in catalysis research and the design of experiments. Participants will have the opportunity to expand their research network, gain an overview of the latest activities in this field and discuss whether and how joint activities and platforms can strengthen European catalysis research. We expect 30-40 participants with diverse theoretical or experimental backgrounds.

Use this platform to share your perspective on the integration of machine learning and computational materials science. Your experience will contribute significantly to our round table discussions as we explore current trends and develop action plans for the COST Innovatiors Grant and the European research community to promote collaboration with industry in the field of catalysis.
